4th Constituency Meeting Report of Madhya Bharat Section, Jaipur
The Madhya Bharat Section, Jaipur conducted its 4th Constituency meeting from February 22-26,2012. Over 200 delegates and invitees attended the meeting which was declared open by Pastor Ravi Masih Gill, Section President after the keynote address on February 22,2012. The delegation represented 43 organized Churches and 111 Company from its spread out territory of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The theme was “Not by might nor by power, but by my spirit”. The Division Leadership was represented by Pr Hidayat Masih, Director SS/PM, SUD and Pastor Maywald Jesudass. The Northern India Union President Pastor Ezras Lakra, and Dr Attar Singh, Treasurer NIU along with Dr. Joseph Tudu, Ministerial Director NIU graced the occasion.
The Section Officers, Pastor Ravi M. Gill, President, Pr Franklin Francis, Secretary, Shekhar Chand, Treasurer along with the members of the nominating committee recommended to the constituency the Departmental Personnel of the Section, which was voted and accepted. The reporting sessions were exhaustive covering a period from 2006 onwards. The reports suggested an overall growth of the Section. The membership has grown from 9601 in 2006 to 17,431 currently. The Work force includes 29 regular workers and 64 Volunteers including Global Mission, Gospel Outreach and Extra Ordinary Tithe Volunteers.
The Financial position of the Section has overall improved maintaining an average self support of 73.6%. The Lay tithe forms a major portion of the total operating revenue of the Section recording an increase of 57.2% over the last five years.
The Constituency Sessions were a spiritual feast as Pastor Hidayat Masih, spoke on “True Character of God’s people”. Pastor Maywald Jesudass from SUD moved the entire members with spirit filled messages on “Spirit of God & last days Church”, and the “Receiving of the Latter rain”. Dr Calwin Joshua, Director OWPH spoke on “Church planting”. Dr Bharat Singh, Laymen spoke on “Secret of Success for God’s people”. Dr Attar Singh emphasized the “Biblical generosity and tithing” whereas Dr J.R. Tudu addressed the congregation as to how to be “The wise builder”.
The Divine and Ordination service was led by Pastor Ezras Lakra, President NIU with Message on “ Revival in God’s way”. At the end seven young pastors were ordained for God’s ministry. The event marked by praise and worship was spirit filled and an occasion to meet old friends. The retirees and former workers apprised themselves with progress of the Madhya Bharat Section. The outstanding contribution of the lay members Pr LD Paul, Dr. Bharat Singh & family, Dr Veena J. Alfred & family, Mr. Roxwell Paul & family Mr. Maxwell Paul & Family. Mr. Cromwell Paul & family and Mr. R. Moses & family were felicitated on the occasion. The meeting was good and everyone was spiritually blessed as spirit of the Lord worked on every one’s heart.

Mrs. Hazel Gardner was born on 18th June 1923 in Lansdowne, Garhwal. Her father Major Sher Singh Rottela and her mother Mrs. Pushpavati Rottela later came down to live in Kotdwar where Mrs. Gardner spent her childhood.
She was the eldest among four brothers and seven sisters. She studied in Gadoli, Pauri a missionary School and finished her high School. She was tall beautiful and was very fond of good clothes and jewelry. Pastor B.E. Howard introduced her to Jesus Christ.
She was married to Pastor Edward Frank Gardner in 1940 in Kotdwara, Garhwal. Thereafter she lived a true Christ- like life. She was shy by nature and spoke very little. She supported her husband in his work and submitted herself to God completely and lived a simple religious life.
Their first appointment after marriage was in Hapur where Pastor Gardner worked as a Bible teacher. Later she followed her Husband to Roorkee. As a Pastors wife she also worked at Lucknow, Almora and Moradabad.She was a perfect housewife and a loving mother to her four sons and two daughters. She took every care to see that her children are brought up in the fear of God and are well educated.
By her sincere effort and sacrifice, today her children are all placed well. Noreen, Eddy Gardner and Ricky Gardner are abroad and are well settled. Charles and Davis Gardner and Nancy are in India and are also doing very well. Her prayers and pious life was a great blessing to her family and everyone who came in contact with her.
In 1958 they were transferred to Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Both Pastor and Mrs. Gardner explored Rajasthan. establishing Churches, Preaching and Teaching the Gods word to the people of Rajasthan.
Pastor Gardner and his family was the first one to enter the State of Rajasthan and worked in different cities till his retirement.Thereafter he settled in Jaipur.
Pastor Gardner was laid to rest in Hapur in September in 1986 and Mrs. Hazel Gardner continued to live with her son Charles Gardner in Jaipur where she breathed her last on March 12, 2010. She now sleeps in God near her husband in Hapur. Mrs. Hazel
Gardner leaves behind four sons and daughter-in-laws, two daughters and Son-in-laws, 14 grand children, six great grand children and hosts of relatives, friends and well wishers.
Mrs. Hazel Gardner fought a good fight and we are sure their is laid a crown of righteousness for her in Heaven.

Dedication of Bible Seminary Building at Jaipur
The Bible Seminary building constructed through generous funds provided to us through Rosie Paul Trust was dedicated by Pastor L.D. Paul on December 29,2009. The dignitaries present include Pastor Hidayat Masih, President NIU, Pastor Ezras Lakra, Executive Secretary, Mr. Alamgir Khan,Treasurer, Pastor Ravi M. Gill, President MBS Mr.Shekhar Chand, Sec-Treasurer MBS. Pastor Franklin David from SASDAC Maryland, USA addressed the congregation in his sermon “Keep Watch” and also gave a slogan “Jaipur for Jesus”. Pastor Hidayat Masih offered the dedicatory prayer. Also Present on the occasion were friends and relatives of the donor family.

Pastor L.D. Paul and his dear wife together travelled extensively throughout the entire field and established an unbreakable bond between the laymen and the workers. Mrs. Rosie Paul supported her husband in his ministry and stood shoulder to shoulder in trying and difficult times. After 40 years of active service Pastor L.D. Paul retired in 1985 and ever since has been a guide and a mentor to Church leaders and the workers in the field.
Mrs. Rosie Paul born on May 4, 1926 passed away in her sleep on April 28,2006 after a brief illness. A decision was taken by the family to construct an edifice in her loving memory. A foundation stone was laid by Pastor L.D. Paul on July 20,2008 for the construction of this Seminary building which is a greater need for the growing work in Madhya Bharat Section field. This Seminary will enable our Volunteers from different areas to be trained and become better equipped to meet the challenges of evangelism.
The total expenditure to construct and furnish the Seminary building is approximately Rs 60 Lakhs. The facility includes
2 Guest rooms with double occupancy
Dormitory accommodation for 20
Instructional room
Kitchen and dinning space, with a provision of audiovisuals and a library.
We express our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Trustees of the Rosie Paul Trust for their generosity and thoughtfulness to construct this Seminary building. We also express our thanks to the Union Leadership and the leadership at the Division for their kind support and guidance.
We Pray that the Lord be our guide us as we use our talents and resources for His Glory.

Youth Leadership Training Seminar
Union wide seminar on youth leadership was organized and conducted at Jaipur from August 4-6,2009. Section Youth Directors from East Jharkhand, West Jharkhand, North Bengal,Upper Ganges, Madhya Bharat Section. Youth coordinators from Eastern UP Region, Pathfinders club Directors from SDA Boarding School Falakata, SDA Higher Secondary School Hapur, SDA Higher Secondary Khunti, SDA Higher Secondary School Kolkata and School Principal and Headmaster from Gujarat Conferenace were also the delegates.
Pr S.B Bairagi, Ministerial and Youth Director from Northern India Union along with Dr L.F Lyngdoh, Director Youth ministry SUD were the main resource personnel. Dr Lyngdoh and Pr SB Bairagi challenged the youth leaders to train and nurture the youth to take up leadership in the Church. Emphasis was laid to have AY and Pathfinders group in each churches and encourage youth activities. Youth activity reports from each Section region and School was shared. To boost the spirits and to inspire a film on a Southern Asia Division wide Pathfinder Camporee 2008 was screened. Pr Ravi Gill, President Madhya Bharat Section and Mr Shekhar Chand took the morning devotion. After exhaustive training sessions a short sight seeing tour was arranged to Amer and City Palace where the delegates took a breathtaking view of the architecture and had a glimpse of the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan.

Christians rally for graveyard in Sri Ganganagar
A petition to the Chief minister Shri Ashok Gehlot was handed over through the district collector Shri Ashutosh Pendonkar for allotment of land for the graveyard on July 24,2009. A peaceful march by hundreds of Christians exhibited the urgent need for a graveyard. There are about 8400 Christians in Ganganagar of all denominations who face difficulty for the funeral and have to travel to Bikaner about 250 kms away for burial ground. Seventh-Day Adventist Church was well represented by Mr Tarsem Gill, Church Pastor Sri Ganganagar.
